18.4 AT miles.
Today was a great hike. The 501 shelter was amazing, however, Yukon and I wanted more mileage! We finished the last 3 miles in rain and lightening. I did ask the good lord above for the rain to stop while we sent up camp. Sure enough the rain subsided and Yukon and I tag teamed our tent set up.
We also both went and got 4 liters of water each totaling 8 liters. His gravity water system is crucial and much easier than mine. It's the way to go with water filtration on the trail! It does the work for ya no doubt!
Yukon is ex army ranger and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. We make a great team! We both will ensure we each make it to Maine. Every day is preparation for the White Mountains in New Hampshire and Maine. I'm working on a nice five man and woman crew!
Beautiful flowers.
