Day 14, May 29, 2014

Hiked 14 AT miles. Received trail magic of powdered Gatorade and water. Caught a knotty head fish out of the stream. Finished the day in an hour down pour. Catherine, Joe and I ran the last fifteen minutes. It was cold rain but felt great. It felt like a nice shower due to us not having one since the Econo lodge. Wet socks, shoes, t shirt and backpack. Everything else is dry. Made it to Helyveys Mill Shelter. Dried my wet things by the fire. Joe and I made a beautiful fire with wet wood. Met a doctor, architecture and construction manager. Great folks! The doctor even shared a drink of scotch. Cheers!

10:30 p.m. bedtime. Body feels great and the fire is going.

Lunch break. Joe and Cat reviewing the AWOL trail guide. Working on the game plan.

Blue rectangle shows our location.

Fishing during lunch. My catch was a small knotty head. Embarrassed to show it :).

Where we ate lunch.

Sweet view except for the power lines. Storm is rolling in!
