This morning I awoke at Hog Camp Gap. The British girls made tea for eyes adjust a fellow thru hiker, and I.
I hiked 7.7 AT miles and relaxed at Seeley Woodworth shelter. Thomas and his German shepherd showed up at 2:15 p.m. It was great to see him and Bruiser! I hadn't seen them since before Glasgow. We exchanged stories and I headed out for more miles. Thomas camped.
I hiked another 6.7 and called it a day. I hiked 3 miles off the AT to see a waterfall but I didn't see the waterfall. The view from the top was hidden by the rock and it was another mile to the lower part. All this according to the guidebook was only 1.2 miles but that's how it goes!
Set up the tent in the shelter to prevent bug bites. Bed 10 p.m.
Blessings!
