Day 18, June 2, 2014

18.8 AT miles. Total more like 22 miles. There was an AT detour that was at least an extra 2 miles making two +/-2000 ft elevation changes. Gator pushed me today but I felt great.

We left Woods Hole Hostel after an amazing breakfast. Grabbed some pictures with Stone Bear, Neville and IHOP. What a beautiful place.

We made it to Pearisburg early in the afternoon and got a ride within five minutes. Actually, let me rephrase this. We received a blessing. The guy that picked us up took us to Wal-Mart 2.7 miles in to town. Not only this, he said he would be coming back thru and could take us back to the trail. This is just a magical experience and rarely happens. He gave us thirty minutes. I think his name was Jim Huffman and he just published a book called three hands. The third hand being God's hand. I will look into the book upon completion of the AT.

We were in and out of town in like an hour re supplied. I bought a 50% off rotisserie chicken and scored it for $4.44. Again, I bought too much food but after a few more re supplies I will have it figured out.

Ate fresh broccoli and avocado for dinner. Beautiful overlook before camp and it's bedtime at 10 p.m.

Nice view.

Raven from NYC. "Do something crazy"
Raven taught me a lot about science and even gave me a lesson on quantum physics.

Nice view.

Marion, VA here we come!

Marion, VA. Thinking this maybe Angels rest.

Gator. Man this chicken is good. After our re supply in Pearisburg. Resting and organizing food prior to getting back on the AT.

Lune setting up camp after Rice Shelter. Beautiful sunset.
